WOW!!  What an incredible show this is turning out to be!  We sold out in record time, so we added more tables, and sold out again …..in ONE DAY!!

We understand there is some disappointment for those who were unable to get tickets in time but we are unable to add more tables.  HOWEVER, we have a waitlist started in case there is someone unable to attend.

Tickets are on sale beginning Thursday, November 29th, 9:30 am until Noon at the La Penita Thursday Tianguis (Market).  First come, first served — individual tickets are priced at $500 pesos each or you may purchase a table of 10 for $4,500 pesos.  Our fabulous ticket-sellers, Marilyn and Tina, will have a table set up near the rear door (off the Square) of the Rosetta Cafe (formerly Xaltemba Restaurante) and will be available every Thursday until sold out.  Get your tickets early for the 16th Annual Fashion Show!  Produced by Women to Women / Mujeres a Mujeres, This year’s production promises to be the event of the season in the Jaltemba Bay!  No ticket sales on December 27th — we will announce if/when sales are to resume.

Red is strong. Red is controversial; Red is fashionable. Red can look extremely stylish while oozing confidence. Red is an attention-grabbing outfit color that will make you the center of attraction every single time you wear it.

There is a fashion theory called the Red Dress effect. It states that if you wear red you will look more appealing and attractive to others than if you are wearing any other color.
For example, red lipstick is a classic. Red pumps trump all other shoes in making you look the star of the party. And the Little Red Dress is fast replacing the Little Black Dress because red is often associated with sensuality. Regardless of your take on the
psychology of wearing RED, it is an enriching color; it can make you look and feel like a million dollars.

Imagine a whole team of talented, caring women channelling the power of red throughout the year. That’s exactly what the Women to Women Fashion Show Committee does by supporting 21 local young women to attend university and funding the Center for Abused Women, GEMA. The needs of the Jaltemba Bay community are continuous and ongoing; Fashion Show works throughout the year to help. With school back in session, junior high age children from needy families are receiving free breakfast funded by Fashion Show event.

Mark your calendars in red for the next Women to Women Fashion Show to be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019. Imagine the Guayabitos Plaza adorned with beautiful ladies dressed in powerful red. Wow!  This year’s theme for the party, “Lady in Red,” begs for fashion passion.  Don’t miss the largest show along the coast! What a statement you will make against the pristine white tables and tents. We challenge you to be dramatic: will it be a sexy red cocktail dress or a pure white ensemble with scarlet accessories?  We can’t wait to see red!

The current Women to Women Fashion  Show initiatives includes 27 university grants-a major accomplishment; 44 food bags for needy families at Christmas; a $20,000 grant to GEMA, a shelter for abused women; and supplying daily breakfast to low-income students attending the local middle school.

All of this year-round giving to the community is accomplished from this one event.  As the sole fundraiser for the group, the Fashion Show has a huge responsibility: provide a classy party that entertains the guests; support the local designers and area businesses; generate funds for initiatives. For fifteen years FS group has exceeded their goals-thanks to your support!
